Jaeger Le Coultre creates a the first of its kind – a new Master Tourbillon Enamel watch for J Farren-Price
Introducing a new timepiece, the first of it’s kind, by the prestigious Jaeger Le Coultre. The Master Tourbillon Enamel Van Gogh is a true masterpiece, which took 70 hours of meticulous painting work to create just the dial, featuring the famous ‘Wheatfield with Crows’ painting. J Farren-Price are very pleased to showcase this special piece, as it awaits its future owner in our Sydney store.
Just as the painter starts with a blank canvas, the master enameler creates his image starting from white enamel, three layers of which are fired in stages at 800 degrees. This watch boasts 60 or 70 hours of scrupulous attention to detail to bring the exact colour combination to life. The art of enamelling known as ‘métiers d’art’ is a dying skill, with just a few watch brands keeping the practice alive with Jaeger Le Coultre leading the way.
This Master Tourbillon Enamel Van Gogh features a 18 carat white gold case, black alligator leather strap and has a self-winding automatic movement. Containing 302 parts, a 45-hour power reserve, it is now available to purchase at our Sydney boutique located at 80 Castlereagh Street, Sydney.
