For the finale of 2023, we are thrilled to take you through some of our favourite Grand Seiko watches of the season from each of their collections. These timepieces showcase, as always, the incredible creativity and precision that underpin the Grand Seiko identity.
The Sport Collection – SBGE295

In total, these incredible features allow the wearer to read the time in 3 different time zones.

The Evolution 9 Collection – SLGH005
The Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Collection represents a new design for a new era. It speaks to the next generation with its confident lines, powerful presence and quiet radiance, but also draws on its deep roots in the traditions and culture of Japan. This collection design exudes strength and has a powerful presence yet remains understated and restrained.
SLGH005, known as the White Birch, captures the dynamism of the white birch tree forests near the Grand Seiko studio in Shizukuishi. Its powerful hands and grooved, prominent markers ensure perfect legibility. Its Zaratsu polished, distortion-free mirror finish and delicate hairline finish give the case a quiet and harmonious glow. SBGA407 features a gorgeous dial that captures the magic of Shinshu in Shōkan with its rich texture of driven snow and a unique blue tone. Like every Spring Drive Grand Seiko watch, this ‘Blue Snowflake’ reflects the landscape around the facility where it was created. It has a maximum 72-hour power reserve, and a power reserve indicator at the bottom left of the dial. The wearer can enjoy a clear view of the movement thanks to a see-through case back.

The Heritage Collection – SBGA413
The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection is the very heart of Grand Seiko and comprises timepieces which emphasise well-balanced design and express the simple, pure essentials of watchmaking. It offers a selection of classic watches that bring alive again the designs and styles of the earliest Grand Seiko timepieces, reinterpreted with the latest movements, manufacturing techniques and craftsmanship.
SBGA413 is a classic Grand Seiko design with a dial that captures a treasured moment in the Japanese seasonal calendar. It is a modern reinterpretation of the celebrated 62GS from 1967, which was Grand Seiko’s first watch with an automatic movement. The current model includes many aesthetic features of the original design. To look closely at the dial is to be transported to Hana-Ikada, the much-loved scene at the moment soon after the spring equinox, Shunbun, when cherry blossom petals scattered by the wind cover the surface of a river.
